Chapter Index

After the love tutorial class, the Silver Dragon clan members’ romantic developments could be described in one word:
Rising!
Rising like steam.
Everyone realized how happy they could be after casting aside some outdated traditional thinking and following their hearts to take that brave step forward.
At this rate, within a few years, the Silver Dragon clan would be able to raise a new generation of young dragons without losing much of their combat strength.
The secret collusion between the human empire and some dragon clans meant that this age-old war had entered its next phase.
Who were allies and who were enemies – these were all uncertainties.
So before the next crisis arrived, Rosvitha needed to increase her tribe’s strength as much as possible.
This was to protect the Silver Dragons’ honor and bloodline in these chaotic times, and also to keep this family going.
As the Silver Dragon clan got back on track, Rosvitha became busy as well.
Leon was very considerate and didn’t disturb her, spending his days with their daughters instead.
Teaching Noia magic, cuddling with Muen, and having intimate encounters between his chin and Aurora’s uppercut.
This day, he came to Rosvitha’s private library, where Little Light was reading as usual.
She was always very absorbed in her reading, so she didn’t notice Leon approaching.
Leon quietly stood behind her and noticed the little one had buried her face in the book again.
The old father silently sighed, then gently tapped Little Light’s shoulder. “Keep your chest up and head high, don’t get too close to the book. It’s not good for your eyes, Little Light.”
The tiny body trembled slightly, and Little Light immediately sat up straight.
She held both sides of the book, sitting in her chair swinging her short legs, muttering, “Dragons don’t get nearsighted… Dad’s really underestimating me.”
“…”
Leon was momentarily speechless.
Pure-blooded dragons indeed don’t get nearsighted, their bloodline was proof of that, no arguing there;
But darling, you’re a human-dragon hybrid, and if you don’t maintain good habits, you’ll get nearsighted just like humans do.
In the future, Little Light would end up wearing black-framed glasses.
It wasn’t that she didn’t look good – the glasses actually enhanced Little Light’s scholarly aura.
But when the time reversal formation was activated, future Little Light had told Leon to make sure her younger self developed good reading habits, as she didn’t want to become nearsighted.
So since Leon’s return, he had been constantly watching Little Light’s reading posture.
Most of the time Little Light was obedient, only occasionally bringing her face too close to the books.
“What are you reading?” Leon changed the subject.
“‘Warrior’s Cradle: Saint His Academy.'”
Little Light said, “It has many short biographies of outstanding graduates and the academy’s history. It’s quite interesting.”
Leon’s thoughts stirred, and he asked, “Does Little Light want to go to school?”
She was only a bit over a year old now, but thinking back, Noia wasn’t much older when she started school.
Although the two daughters had different talent trees, they both belonged to the ‘genius kids’ category.
So given Little Light’s current learning ability and level of thinking, starting school shouldn’t be a problem.
“Hmm… not really.”
Little Light said, “I’m just in the understanding phase right now.”
Leon nodded.
This was very much in line with Little Light’s learning habits – no matter what type of book, she would first get a general understanding before deciding how to read it.
My little daughter is really too steady.
“Speaking of which, the academy’s holiday is almost over, and big sister has to go back to school.”
Little Light put down her book and turned to look at her father, “Will you be taking big sister back then?”
“Of course. Would you like to come along, Little Light?”
“Yes! Just reading descriptions in books is too limited. I want to see it in person.”
“Alright, then let’s bring Muen along too. How does that sound?”
The pink-haired girl nodded, then wrapped her arms around her father’s neck and gave him a light kiss on the cheek. “Papa is so nice~”
Delighted by his daughter’s sweetness, the father held her in his arms. “Come on, let’s go get some sun instead of being cooped up in the library all the time.”
“Papa is my sunshine~”
“Your little mouth has gotten quite skilled at sweet talk.”
Leon affectionately nuzzled Little Light’s smooth, tender cheek. “If your mother’s mouth was half as sweet as yours, Dad’s happiness index would at least triple.”
“But I think you’re already very happy, Dad.” Little Light said seriously.
Leon blinked. “Really? You can tell?”
“Of course.”
Little Light said, “Although you always say Mom doesn’t understand romance and is too stubborn and stuff, whenever you talk about her, whether you’re complaining or criticizing, you sound pretty happy.”
“Happy? I don’t… think so.”
Leon didn’t feel he would be happy when mentioning the great mother dragon, let alone every time.
His relationship with Rosvitha shouldn’t have progressed to that point… right?
Little Light blinked her beautiful eyes and clicked her tongue lightly. “Hmm… maybe not happy exactly, more like… proud and pleased. It’s like Mom’s flaws don’t even seem like flaws to you – you even find them interesting.”
Seeing Little Light’s serious analysis, Leon knew she wasn’t joking or making things up.
Hiss~~~
Could it be that every time he mentioned Rosvitha, his smile was harder to suppress than an AK?
No way…
What’s this about ‘her flaws don’t seem like flaws to me’?
Please, if you asked me to list that mother dragon’s flaws, I could go on for three days and nights without finishing.
Leon shook his head and pinched Little Light’s nose. “Little kids shouldn’t try to analyze adults’ thoughts too much.”
“Dad, that might work on me, but if you said that to Big Sis, she wouldn’t talk to you for three days.”
Leon smirked and shook his head with a smile.
These little dragon girls were getting cleverer by the day.
Leon changed the subject and took Little Light to the garden behind the temple.
When they arrived, Muen was already pestering Noia to play blind man’s bluff with her.
“Dad.”
“Hmm?”
“Have you noticed Second Sister has been clingier to Big Sister than usual these past few days?” Little Light asked, watching her two sisters playing in the distance.
Leon followed her gaze and thought back on Muen’s behavior these past few days. “Hmm… you’re right. Though she was always very attached to Noia before. She only became a bit more independent after you were born, probably feeling she needed to act more like a big sister herself.”
“But fundamentally, Second Sister still really depends on Big Sister.”
“That’s true.”
During the two years Leon was in a coma, Noia spent a long time accompanying Muen.
So as her personality and thoughts matured, Muen came to view Noia as an important source of support.
Simply put – she had a sister complex.
Leon felt there was nothing wrong with the sisters being close, and Noia had never shown any impatience with Muen.
She knew she was her sister’s support and dependence, so she would never let her sister down.
That was Noia’s personality – always striving to satisfy everyone.
“Hey? Little Light, how come you never cling to your two sisters?” Leon suddenly asked.
“Because I’m being held by you right now, Dad.”
“…Sorry, sorry.”
Leon bent down and put Little Light on the ground.
“Well Dad, I’m going to play now~”
“Alright, be careful.”
The pink-haired girl waved and turned to run toward her two sisters.
With all three little ones together, the game became livelier.
Leon stood at a distance, hands in his pockets, silently watching this harmonious and heartwarming scene, a smile gradually spreading across his face.
He recalled the ideal he had once shared with Rosvitha:
“Move to a remote countryside and open a ranch.”
“Then marry a wife who’s neither beautiful nor ugly.”
“Have an adorable daughter.”
“And finally wait for time to slowly whittle me away. If possible, I think that would be the life I want.”
His current life may not have a ranch, and his fake wife was beautiful far beyond his modest standards, but at least… his daughters were truly adorable.
Leon slowly sat down on the grass, then lay back, hands behind his head, gazing at the azure sky.
A breeze rustled his bangs, cool and refreshing.
Soon, he heard footsteps approaching.
Leon knew who it was without opening his eyes.
“Slacking off?” she asked.
“Mm, care to join?” Leon invited.
Rosvitha didn’t answer, but slowly lay down as well.
She placed her hands on her stomach, shoulder to shoulder with Leon.
Sunlight filtered through gaps in the leaves, scattering warmly over their bodies, cozy and content.
