Chapter Index

“The third choice is to break what you call ‘the defense that will never be broken.'”
Nacho watched the battlefield with his hands in his pockets, speaking in a flat tone.
Good news: His guess was right – General Leon’s face was written with invincibility.
Bad news: This General Leon was now his enemy.
He looked at Ravi, whose face had already darkened, beside him. “Now do you understand why the Empire went to such lengths, even willing to use a monster like Sta, to kill Leon?”
Ravi’s face was gloomy, offering no response.
Seeing Ravi’s silence, Nacho urged, “Now that Leon Casmode has broken that bell, and Sta being finished is just ‘a matter of time’ as you just said, so—”
“Go prepare for it, the killing blow.”
Ravi slowly exhaled and shook his head, “It’s not time yet.”
“Not time yet? Are we waiting for Sta’s corpse to cool down and his head to become Constantine’s neighbor before it’s time?”
Having witnessed Sta’s strongest defense being broken, and now facing Nacho’s mockery, Ravi suppressed his shock and resentment, saying coldly,
“You think Sta became a dragon legend merely relying on one absolute defense move?”
“There are more trump cards?”
“Of course, just wait and see.”
Though he said this, Ravi’s confidence was clearly not as strong as before.
After witnessing Leon’s strength firsthand, he realized he needed to tone down the bragging.
After all, that guy might slap his face in the next second.
The sound of face-slapping would be louder than Chidori—painful enough.
On the battlefield, Sta, whose Dusk Bell had been broken, was struck by Rosvitha’s attack.
A wave of high-temperature heat swept over, sending him flying.
Sta’s body shot into a small mountain, deeply embedded within.
The husband and wife reunited.
Rosvitha retracted her dragon wings, one hand on her hip, looking at ‘tunnel explorer’ Sta, saying with a smile,
“We’re really amazing!”
The General heard the self-mockery in her joke.
From an observer’s perspective and even from her own perspective as a participant, in the recent battle, she had merely supplemented the damage.
If not for Leon’s Chidori breaking through Sta’s defense, they would have had no way to attack.
But Leon was clear-headed, without any self-deprecation. He analyzed calmly,
“After piercing through his broken bell just now, I also exposed an opening. If you hadn’t followed up immediately, I might have been counterattacked. You’re right, we are amazing!”
The queen glanced at him, unsure if these were sincere words or if he was just trying to cheer her up during the battle.
However, regardless of what it was, she was genuinely happy.
Rosvitha suppressed her upturning lips, “At least you know what to say.”
“What do you mean ‘at least’? I’ve always been eloquent and silver-tongued.”
“Silver-tongued has a slightly negative connotation.”
“True, but the focus is on silver.”
Rosvitha frowned her beautiful brows, made a light ‘tch’ sound, then delivered an elbow strike to Leon’s chest plate, “We’re in battle, be serious.”
The queen’s call for seriousness ended their casual conversation that had been easing the tense battlefield atmosphere.
The couple returned to their battle stance.
Meanwhile, Sta, embedded in the small mountain, didn’t rush to launch a counterattack.
That Chidori move that had pierced through his absolute defense, which hadn’t been broken for hundreds of years, forced him to calm down and think.
“No wonder those guys in the Empire wanted to kill him so badly. Letting such a monster live on, the annihilation of all dragons active on the surface would only be a matter of time.”
Sta pulled his arm from the rock crevice, struggling to stand up among the scattered rocks and gravel.
“If possible, I’d really like to see how strong someone like you would become after becoming a ‘vessel’.”
He looked towards that distant point of light, the golden armor slowly gleaming.
“But… Leon Casmode, since you chose to be an enemy of the Empire, it means you won’t live to see the day when the ‘ultimate power’ is released.”
“For you, everything in this world—will end today.”
As his words fell, armor light surged from the cracks in the small mountain.
Instantly, the earth shook and mountains trembled, huge rocks rolled down from the peak with thunderous sounds.
Even Nacho, watching from afar, felt the intense tremors.
“Wh-what’s happening? Is Sta transforming into dragon form?”
Nacho hurriedly asked, “But earlier, the ‘Master’ already told you all that when facing Casmode, dragon form easily exposes bigger weaknesses. Compared to killing humans, he’s more skilled at killing dragons. Constantine is the best example.”
“Then your ‘Master’ should have excluded Sta. His dragon form is different from ours.”
“Different? How different can it be?”
“Why ask? You’ll see soon enough.”
“You!…”
Nacho snorted coldly and turned back to watch the battlefield.
They saw that small mountain gradually disintegrating, as a huge golden figure slowly rose from within.
Accompanied by a dragon’s roar, all the waste soil and broken stones of the entire small mountain were blasted away.
A golden giant dragon suddenly appeared on the battlefield.
Its body was so massive that even the small mountain couldn’t contain it, and even Nacho, dozens of kilometers away, could see it clearly.
The dragon pressure Sta emitted also increased exponentially.
Thud—
Nacho instantly couldn’t withstand such dragon pressure and fell to his knees.
His whole body trembled uncontrollably, tears, snot, and sweat all falling to the ground.
That fear penetrated to his marrow, churning his internal organs.
It even made Nacho, a human, develop thoughts of ‘suicide’.
Naturally, the dragon soldiers behind him weren’t faring any better.
Among those present, only Ravi still stood upright in place.
But his face was covered in cold sweat.
That sky-covering dragon pressure was also affecting Ravi, who was himself a Dragon King.
“I told you, Sta isn’t included in that ‘Master’s’ concerns,” Ravi said flatly.
Nacho looked at that huge golden dragon and swallowed, “I shouldn’t have come here…”
Perhaps he shouldn’t even have been born.
Meanwhile, at the Silver Dragon border, Anna’s heart was racing.
Sta’s dragon pressure made her go crazy. She clenched her fists tightly, her nails digging into her palms, blood flowing through her fingers.
Anna used this method to force herself to stay conscious.
Looking at Shelly beside her, scales had already appeared on her face and neck, and her tail was swaying unconsciously.
Those beautiful eyes were now staring fixedly at Sta’s figure.
Unconscious dragonification was a reaction that only occurred when dragons sensed powerful pressure.
But this reaction generally only appeared among the same species. Anna had never seen someone like Sta who could affect different dragon species to this degree.
Anna placed her hand on Shelly’s shoulder, softly calling her name.
This finally brought Shelly back to her senses.
She was breathing heavily, like someone who had just woken from a nightmare.
“Head Maid… I- I just—”
“Sta’s dragon pressure is too strong, stay clear-headed, Shelly.”
“Okay… sorry.”
She adjusted her state and raised her eyes to look at the battlefield ahead, her eyes full of worry,
“Her Majesty and His Highness are closer… can they withstand such dragon pressure? Should we go help?”
“Trust them.”
Anna sighed heavily,
“In a battle of this level, not going up there to die is already helping them greatly.”
“ROAR!!—”
The dragon’s roar pierced the sky, the golden dragon’s majesty oppressing the entire battlefield.
Although the endless thunderous rumbling never ceased, it gave everyone a deathly silent feeling.
No one knew how the two people closest to Sta at this moment felt.
Were they afraid?
Had they broken down?
Or had they already decided to surrender…
The answer was—
“You—”
Leon Casmode raised his right hand, lightning instantly erupting and exploding,
“WHY ARE YOU ROARING SO LOUDLY!!”
