Chapter Index

The moment Leon leaped down, Sta had also just finished gathering power.
This strike would mark the end of his thousand-year-long life.
It would also mark the end of this arrogant human before him.
Sta wanted to let him know that the consequence of offending the dragon clan was death, nothing else.
What did mutual destruction matter?
As long as he could make the enemy pay an equal price, Sta didn’t care.
Golden light burst forth; from a distance, it looked as if a second sun was slowly rising from the horizon.
That tremendous power radiated outward from Sta as the center, he roared, protecting his final dignity as a dragon king.
And the person who had driven him to such a state had also prepared for a head-on battle with him.
The man in silver armor wielded mighty thunder and lightning; the most violent and uncontrollable elements in nature had now become his army of thousands, obeying his command.
He was like a world-saving general, commanding the world’s most powerful force, launching an all-out attack against that golden dragon.
Ten thousand lightning bolts condensed into the shape of a lion, it roared, descending from heaven.
Super S-class Lightning Magic — Dragon Slayer
A magic that didn’t appear in any book, Leon Casmode’s original dragon-killing move.
No lengthy, convoluted incantations, no nonsensical bodily rituals, no sneaky ambush tactics.
It was the purest energy, its only purpose was…
Dragon slaying.
Thunder and golden light confronted each other;
Lion and dragon king fought to the death.
Between kings, it was a fight to the death.
The two energies met in the air, the energy explosion from their collision radiated outward.
In an instant, heaven and earth shook, as if doomsday had arrived early.
Brilliant light flickered in Ravi’s eyes as he watched the scene unfold, speaking with nervous excitement:
“Do you see this, Nacho! This is the ultimate battle of life and death! How envious I am of you – at merely thirty or forty years old, you get to witness this. I’ve lived for fifteen hundred years, and only today do I have the fortune to see such a confrontation with my own eyes!”
Dragons are all madmen—
That’s what the Lord often said.
Nacho didn’t believe it before, but now he did.
He knelt on the ground, watching the dragon and human fighting to the death.
Nacho didn’t understand – if a Dragon King’s rage leading to destruction was uncontrollable, then why was Leon Casmode fighting so desperately?
He could have escaped to safety with the other Silver Dragons, and even if he would be affected by Sta’s self-destruction, he didn’t need to put his life on the line like this.
Nacho watched that tiny silver figure controlling lightning, battling the berserk Dragon King with unmatched prowess. In that moment, even the cunning Nacho couldn’t help but think:
How wonderful it would be to have someone like this on our side.
The brave and fearless, those unafraid of sacrifice, never lack recognition from others.
However, Nacho wouldn’t and couldn’t understand that Leon never lived for others’ recognition.
He had something to protect, and he would risk his life without hesitation to do so.
Amidst the chaotic lightning, cracks began appearing in the man’s armor. He shouted his questions at the golden dragon:
“How long have you lived, Sta?”
“A thousand years? Two thousand? Or three thousand?”
“In your long life, there must be something you’d call ‘your biggest regret’, right?”
“Perhaps it was a wrong decision, or maybe killing your own kind, or something else entirely.”
“But now, I’m telling you, the thing you should regret most in this life is standing at my home’s doorstep, shouting and screaming in front of my wife and children, and then trying to blow up my house.”
“The last dragon who scared my wife and children is already hanging at my front door.”
“And your fate – will be the same!”
Thunder roared as he used the lightning in his hands to scatter the golden light before him, forcefully pushing back that terrifying energy that could level everything to the ground.
The lightning-formed lion roared, baring its fangs and brandishing its claws as it charged toward Sta.
In an instant, lightning engulfed everything, the golden light vanished, and dragon howls echoed from within the explosion, mixed with frustration and anger at defeat.
“The Prince won? The Prince won!!”
The moment the explosion occurred, Sta’s dragon pressure completely disappeared.
The Silver Dragon warriors raised their arms in celebration.
A relieved smile appeared on Shelly’s face. “Head Maid, we won.”
Anna slowly loosened her tightly clenched fists, blood flowing from her palms and dripping from her fingertips. “Yes… we won.”
On the battlefield, Rosvitha rushed into the ongoing explosion, carrying Leon in her mouth, then flew close to the ground—
With the explosion’s aftershocks continuing, the situation was urgent, and she could only use this not-so-elegant method to get Leon out.
Damn this guy, winning the fight but not immediately running to safety, just standing there trying to look cool.
She would definitely need to consult with that gunner Rebecca later, to ask how she managed to tolerate this showoff of a brother all those years.
Lost in these thoughts, a sudden impact hit her side. Rosvitha couldn’t dodge in time and tumbled toward the ground with Leon.
Fortunately, they had already flown to the edge of the aftershock zone, so falling wasn’t too serious.
Rosvitha’s massive dragon form easily came to a stop.
After stabilizing herself, she immediately ran to Leon, spread her dragon wings, and wrapped them around him, using her body to shield him from the remaining explosion shockwaves.
Luckily, the energy explosion soon ended.
After confirming there was no more activity, Rosvitha folded her wings and transformed into her human form.
The couple lay on the devastated battlefield, gazing at the gradually clearing night sky.
The clouds dispersed, and the first ray of sunlight shone on the Black Gold War Chariot’s chest plate.
He was exhausted, his right hand trembling uncontrollably.
That last attack had been incredibly dangerous – it was a gamble, but fortunately, he had won.
“Rosvitha.”
“What?”
“Your teeth just now… they hit my kidney…”
“Consider yourself lucky I didn’t eat you.”
“Well, being carried in a dragon’s mouth was a first for me. The feeling was… quite unique.”
Rosvitha turned her head, looking at him with disgust, “Bunny girls are my limit of tolerance. As for your other preferences, you’ll have to find other ways to satisfy them.”
The couple lay on their sides, looking at each other.
Although from Rosvitha’s perspective, she could only see a silver metal lump, she was sure that under that helmet was a silly, grinning face.
Suddenly, the queen had a bold impulse.
She reached out, slowly cradled the Black Gold War Chariot’s helmet, then leaned forward, her soft lips gently pressing against the cold, hard metal.
It was a light kiss.
After the kiss, she immediately pulled back, lying flat with a completely flushed face.
General Leon froze for a moment, then suddenly sat up. “This doesn’t count! K-k-kissing through armor doesn’t count!”
“Whether it counts or not is up to you. I’ve shown my affection either way.”
“How can that be considered proper affection? No, wait, let me take off my helmet and we’ll do it again.”
As he spoke, Leon clumsily tried to remove the Black Gold War Chariot’s helmet.
This damn armor was perfect in every way except for how difficult it was to remove.
Maybe he should just sell it one day.
(Black Gold War Chariot: ? Has it been too long since I last burned your dreams, Casmode?)
In the end, Leon couldn’t remove the helmet.
He chose to give up, figuring he’d take it off slowly once they got back.
Leon stood up and reached out to Rosvitha, “Let’s go, let’s head back.”
Rosvitha nodded, gripped Leon’s hand, and stood up with a slight pull.
The couple looked back at the battlefield.
Golden scales were scattered everywhere, with the massive dragon corpse lying there. Cleaning up such a battlefield would take quite some time.
“The head’s too big, won’t fit on display,” Leon mused.
“Well, after we return, I could arrange for some craftsmen to make you a special display stand for hanging these old Dragon Kings’ heads. How does that sound?”
“That would be too embarrassing. Rather than that, I’m more interested in what you said before about rebuilding a larger throne.”
The couple supported each other, chatting about trivial matters while slowly walking toward Silver Dragon territory.
Anna, Shelly, and the others came to meet them.
Without doubt, this was a satisfying victory. After this battle, the Empire probably wouldn’t send any more Dragon Kings to trouble Leon—
“Where do you think you’re going?”
A voice came from above.
They looked up to see a black figure descending from the sky, landing directly between them and the approaching Silver Dragon warriors.
After he landed, two more black figures followed, landing to the couple’s left and right rear.
They formed a triangle formation, surrounding Leon and Rosvitha.
Rosvitha immediately recognized the leader.
“Star-Wandering Dragon King… Ravi…”
