Chapter 93: Stand Up, Class is in Session
by reimuA day later, we still don’t know what method Rosvitha spoke of that could help Leon store more magic power.
She only said that with her current injuries, she wasn’t suitable for any “vigorous movements.”
So they would have to wait until both their injuries healed.
Leon carefully pondered these words.
“Vigorous movements… no matter how I think about it, it doesn’t sound like anything good…”
In the front courtyard of the Silver Dragon Temple, Leon sat under the pavilion, gazing at the azure sky which stretched endlessly without a cloud in sight.
He took a deep breath, exhaled slowly, then closed his eyes, trying to empty his mind.
His body was still in an extremely exhausted and weakened state – even the simplest attempt to gather magic power would cause his magic circuits to burn intensely.
And this was just the symptom of excessive magic consumption.
The side effects of Nine Hell’s Gate were equally torturous, with his bones and muscles aching terribly.
These side effects couldn’t be relieved with medicine – they could only slowly fade away with time.
Leon estimated it would take at least ten days to two weeks.
Actually, he rarely overexerted himself in battle like he did yesterday.
But clearly, those Dragon Kings were determined to kill him. If he had held back even slightly, how could he be sitting here contemplating life in the dragoness’s courtyard?
He would have been down there playing a resurrection match with Old Constantine instead.
However, after this battle, Leon guessed that the Empire wouldn’t choose direct confrontation again.
All this time, just to kill one human like him, they lost six Dragon Kings in a single day yesterday – in the past, this would have been half a year’s worth of General Leon’s achievements. At this rate of casualties, not only was Leon himself struggling to keep up, but surely the Empire and the dragons colluding with them couldn’t sustain it either.
So after this, the Empire would likely think of other ways to deal with Leon.
As for exactly what methods they might use, they would have to wait and see.
Before long, Rosvitha walked out from the temple’s main entrance. Standing on the steps, she looked around, and upon seeing Leon in the pavilion, she began walking in that direction.
Hearing footsteps, Leon turned to look and raised his eyebrows in surprise.
“This is rare, Your Majesty actually wearing casual clothes when going out.”
Rosvitha’s current outfit was very homely – just a white spaghetti strap dress paired with elegant sandals, revealing her cute, rounded ankles.
The warm breeze gently lifted her skirt hem, revealing her well-proportioned calves beneath.
No wonder Leon was surprised. Usually when moving about the temple grounds, she would dress very formally, rarely appearing so relaxed.
Rosvitha sat beside him, stretched out her long legs, placed her hands on her knees, and lowered her gaze to stare at her shoe tips as she replied casually,
“Most of the clan members have been dispersed, there’s hardly anyone left in the temple, so I’m dressing more casually.”
Leon blinked, “Then with no subordinates to command, can you still call yourself a Queen?”
“What, even if I’m not a Queen anymore, you’re still my captive.”
“Hey you!—”
“Objections?”
Leon snorted and turned his head away, refusing to argue with her, and grumbled reluctantly, “No objections.”
Rosvitha smiled, “I’ve already sent Anna and the others to regather the clan members. It’s also a good opportunity to rebuild the Silver Dragon Temple. So I probably have…”
She calculated mentally, then continued, “About a week’s vacation. Since it’s a vacation, there’s no need to dress so formally.”
Leon sat beside her, quietly listening to her speak while looking down at her delicate white feet.
He didn’t want to be called a pervert, but the dragoness did have pretty feet.
They were like a sculptor’s masterpiece, with elegant and balanced lines; skin as tender as jade, with light pink nail polish revealing a hint of playful cuteness.
Everyone appreciates beauty.
Never mind which part you appreciate, as long as it’s beautiful, there’s nothing wrong with admiring it.
As if sensing the man’s gaze, Rosvitha curled her toes and suddenly lifted her leg to place it on Leon’s lap.
“Here, here, here, look all you want. The Queen is letting you have a good look. If looking isn’t enough, you can just touch them.”
“Ah-ah-ah! Take it away! Take it away! How can such an indecent thing come so close to someone as pure as me! This is truly a breakdown of propriety, completely improper!”
Rosvitha drew in a sharp breath, narrowing her eyes slightly as she squeezed out a few words through gritted teeth,
“You’re quite the proper gentleman, aren’t you, my captive.”
The Queen gave a cold snort, lowered her leg, and covered it with her dress.
“Of course, I’ve lived my life with dignity. How could I possibly be obsessed with feet? Absolutely not.”
“Then why were you secretly staring for so long just now? I bet you didn’t even hear what I said.”
“I did hear! You said you wanted to take a vacation.”
“For how long?”
“Uh… three days?”
“I’m going to kill you, you foot-obsessed fool!”
Rosvitha turned to the side, trying to grab Leon’s neck.
But the General reacted more quickly, immediately tucking his chin down, making it impossible for the clumsy dragon to get a grip.
After failing in her attempt, Rosvitha had to give up.
She pouted, crossing her arms. “You’re just like this, Leon – timid and cowardly, never daring to directly say what you like.”
“Please stop scolding me, sis, I’m hurt,” General Leon immediately deflected.
Rosvitha glared at him angrily.
This dog – after going to the future, his abilities had grown, but his shamelessness had also increased by several degrees.
Fine, if that’s how it is, this queen will take you on.
You like my feet but won’t admit it, right?
Then today I’ll make you say it out loud!
Forcing Leon Casmode to do things he doesn’t want to do, say things he doesn’t want to say, and admit facts he doesn’t want to admit was one of Rosvitha’s life pleasures.
She absolutely loved seeing that unwilling yet helpless look on that dog of a man’s face.
What?
If she couldn’t beat him in strength, couldn’t she at least take the chance to torment him a bit?
What about her status in this household? Really now.
“Let’s go eat breakfast.”
Rosvitha stood up and walked towards the temple.
Leon followed behind her.
The couple entered the dining room. Muen and Little Light had finished early and left, leaving only Noia.
“Good morning, Dad and Mom,” their eldest daughter greeted them.
“Morning, Noia.”
The two sat down.
Breakfast was simple – bread, milk, jam, and some vegetable salad.
Leon skillfully spread jam on a slice of bread, spreading it evenly bit by bit, then placed another slice on top and handed it to Rosvitha. “Here.”
Rosvitha smiled but didn’t take it. Instead, she leaned forward and took a small bite with her mouth open.
Leon twisted his mouth in disdain, “Can’t you just take it and eat it yourself?”
“Why are you being fierce? How come after being apart for six months, you’ve become so impatient with me?”
Leon drew in a sharp breath.
Great.
She was up to something again.
At times like these, it was best for Leon to go along with her and absolutely not argue back.
Moreover, Noia was still present, so he had to continue playing the role of “Rosvitha’s good husband.”
So he could only hold the bread slice, feeding Rosvitha one bite at a time.
People might think the Queen was pregnant again or something, requiring such nursemaid-level service.
Rosvitha slowly savored the breakfast Leon offered, watching him with smiling eyes.
Her chewing movements were elegant, unhurried, forming a stark contrast with Leon’s impatient yet unable-to-complain expression.
“I’m thirsty,” Rosvitha said.
Leon picked up the milk from beside them and handed it to Rosvitha.
Rosvitha took it and took a small sip.
The milk flowed into her stomach, rich and warm, with a small amount remaining at the corner of her mouth.
That white trace appeared rather seductive against her red lips.
The milk slowly dripped from the corner of her mouth to her chin. Rosvitha seemed to only then realize this was somewhat unladylike, yet unhurriedly used her finger to gently wipe it away.
“Sorry about that, how unbecoming of me.”
More like you’re being perverted, dragon lady.
How can you make eating breakfast look so provocative?
It’s only because Noia doesn’t understand these things now. If she did understand, who knows what incredible details she might add to her next essay about parental love.
Leon grumbled internally, but his hands continued feeding bread to the dragon lady.
After feeding her a few more bites, Leon opened his mouth, wanting to make a teasing comment.
But before he could speak, he suddenly felt something lightly brushing against his calf.
Looking down, it was Rosvitha’s foot.
She had crossed her long, beautiful legs and removed one of her sandals, using that bare, delicate foot to slowly caress Leon’s calf.
The pressure was neither too light nor too heavy, but still made one’s heart feel itchy.
“What’s wrong?” Rosvitha asked, feigning ignorance.
“Your foot—”
Halfway through speaking, Leon glanced at Noia who was still eating.
He pressed his lips together and lowered his voice, “Our daughter is still here, don’t go too far.”
“What’s that~? Husband, speak up, I~ can’t~ hear~ you~”
With each suggestive pause, Leon could feel that playful jade foot brush against his calf once more.
Her sole pressed against his leg, her five dainty toes lifting and falling one after another.
The sensation was very clear.
Meanwhile, above the table, Rosvitha rested her chin on one hand, smiling as if she knew nothing about what was happening underneath.
“Dad, Mom, I’m done eating.”
Noia put down her knife and fork, jumped off her chair, and ran towards the exit.
Rosvitha calmly withdrew her foot, casually slipped her shoe back on, and reminded her, “Be careful when playing outside.”
“I know, Mom.”
Noia responded as she left the dining room.
As the footsteps faded away, Leon slapped the bread down onto Rosvitha’s plate and glared at her.
Rosvitha looked innocent, “Husband, you’re being fierce with me again.”
Looks like… this fire-playing dragon lady needs to be taught a lesson.
Without a word, Leon suddenly stood up, bent down and scooped Rosvitha up in his arms.
Rosvitha was slightly startled and quickly wrapped her arms around Leon’s neck. “What are you doing?”
Leon still didn’t respond, carrying her quickly out of the dining room and up to their bedroom.
Rosvitha suppressed a smile but still pitifully asked, “Leon, please don’t bully me? I was wrong.”
“Now you know you were wrong? Too late!”
Oh my oh my, truly a man who never looks back at explosions, putting on an act so quickly~
Well then… it’s time to review some husband and wife homework.
