Chapter 8: How Could I Submit to a Mere Vampire Loli [Third Revision]
by reimu“Move aside!”
Charles’s eyes were cold, looking exactly like a rabbit about to fight a lion.
“Charles, I said on the first day that you’re not allowed to use self-harming methods to escape, didn’t I?” Sophie’s voice turned cold, as if she was truly angry.
“That’s none of your business!” Charles snorted coldly.
Falling to this state was all because of this person. And now, she still had the nerve to say such hypocritical things!
“You should know the consequences of not listening, right?”
Sophie’s eyelids lowered slightly. Before she finished speaking, Charles struck first, cold white mist spraying from her palm, obscuring her vision.
“The cold air from the Void Sword is useless against me.”
Sophie’s wings flapped lightly, and instantly a fierce wind rose, easily blowing away the white mist and forming a large area of scattered ice.
But just as the mist dispersed, Charles’s hand emerged from the fog, coming at her face like a tiger’s claw! Extremely fast, catching her completely off guard.
Sophie leaned back to dodge, reaching back to grab Charles’s wrist.
As long as she caught her hand, she wouldn’t be able to escape.
But Charles seemed to see through her intention. That “tiger claw” smoothly drew a circle, like Tai Chi, cutting against Sophie’s wrist, and with just a light application of force deflected it aside.
“???” Sophie was stunned for a moment.
She immediately switched to her other hand to grab Charles, but the latter struck first, grabbing her elbow and forearm at once.
Charles pulled along with the direction of her force, twisted counterclockwise gently, and somehow slipped smoothly under her armpit, ending up behind her.
By the time she turned around, Charles had already jumped toward the opening, not caring about anything else.
“Mmm!!!”
Sophie naturally knew Charles was skilled in combat. Without absolute strength, no one could defeat Charles in close combat, but being toyed with like this made her even angrier.
Seeing Charles already squeezing into the opening, she didn’t bother chasing and simply snapped her fingers.
Restore barrier.
The barrier that had just been in stasis emitted a faint light and instantly accelerated its flow.
In almost the blink of an eye, it repaired the opening completely!
Charles’s upper body barely managed to squeeze through.
But her lower body…
Was stuck by the closing barrier!
Holy crab!
She hurriedly aimed the pattern drawn on her arm at the barrier, preparing to recite the scripture again.
“Not listening!”
Smack!
…
…
…
“Blood Princess, let me go!” Charles gritted her teeth, murderous intent rising. This was the first time in her life she had suffered such humiliation. Wasn’t this just like that famous female knight? Damn it!
But how could she have thought that such a large-scale barrier could be freely controlled by the Blood Princess alone?
No matter what barrier, the main control could only be operated by the array core or the constructor.
Now that the Blood Princess could restore it with a snap of her fingers, that meant she was the constructor.
So she was also a powerful master alchemist? She had hidden it too deeply!
“Charles, aren’t you a legendary hunter? Try struggling a bit?” Sophie’s mocking laughter drove Charles mad.
She kept kicking her legs, but Sophie seized the opportunity and grabbed her ankles.
“Kuhuhuh, this is a weakness you exposed yourself, Charles. You can’t blame me, okay?” Sophie’s lips curved up slightly.
“You, what do you want to do!”
“For a Charles who won’t listen and doesn’t cherish herself, naturally there must be severe punishment!”
“Guh! Kill me!”
…
…
After some time.
Charles suddenly felt her body lighten, as if someone had picked her up.
Opening her eyes, she saw Sophie’s smirking face.
“If you try to escape like today again, it won’t be as simple as just spanking!”
Hearing this made Charles even angrier: “If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t even be here!”
“If it weren’t for me, Charles probably would never have married such a gentle, cute, and invincible wife like me!”
Not only did Sophie show no remorse, she looked completely proud, chin held high. “We’re already wife and wife now, we should support each other.”
“Who’s wife and wife with you! Trying to brainwash me every day, huh! And weren’t you pretending to be asleep earlier?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I was just awakened by the commotion made by a certain trash small fry…”
Lies had to be told.
After all, it was rare for Charles to be this proactive.
If she realized this method was particularly useful, she might try it again next time.
There was something called conditioned reflex, wasn’t there?
Like how children who cry get candy, or how dogs drool when they hear the words “dinner”… Sophie hoped Charles would come pour her wine whenever she tried to escape.
Charles clicked her tongue but didn’t doubt her words too much.
The commotion she caused this time was indeed very loud.
The power of the Solar Scripture was related to one’s own faith. The text itself contained powerful rules that hunters could release through speech.
Ordinary hunters rarely went to church to pray. With weak faith, their recitation of the Solar Scripture wasn’t this powerful or simply didn’t work.
But as a regular customer of the church with a clear mind and high moral character, she rarely used the Solar Scripture and had underestimated its power.
But next time wouldn’t be like this!
“Let’s go home.”
With that, Sophie placed her left hand on Charles’s shoulder blade and her right hand at the bend of her leg, lifting her up in a princess carry.
However, this carrying method made her freshly spanked bottom hurt again.
“Let me go, I know how to walk back!” Charles sucked in a sharp breath from the pain, her body tensing up.
“Losers don’t get to choose.” Sophie hummed twice, flapping her wings as her figure transformed into a red light under the moon, tearing through the night sky with a sharp sound.
Charles bit her teeth and temporarily swallowed her anger.
Failure wasn’t frightening. What was frightening was never recovering from it.
She failed today, but she still had tomorrow.
Even if she failed tomorrow, she still had the day after tomorrow.
As long as she could leave, she hadn’t failed!
That’s right, she was a legendary hunter—how could she submit to a mere vampire loli?
