Chapter Index

The student council route in the otome game “Celestia Kingdom” is considered quite difficult among the many scenarios available.

First, just getting into the student council is extremely challenging, and to enter the route from the first year, you have no choice but to pray for event appearances and RNG so that the necessary parameters grow to reach the baseline values.

Even if you manage to get in with good luck, actually conquering the route from there stands as an even greater barrier.

There’s one capture target character in the third year and two in the second year, but because they’re in different grades, raising their affection is more difficult compared to characters in the same year.

Perhaps because they’re set up as elites, the baseline values for affection and parameters required to reach the goal are set quite high, accelerating the difficulty on top of an already challenging situation.

For this reason, people who try to conquer the student council route are those who have already conquered “Celestia Kingdom” through and through.

And particularly, conquering a certain person in the student council often becomes the very last challenge, which is why that capture target has been called this among fans───

“So this is… it.”

Standing side by side with Eleanore, we look up at the building before us.

This building with the Royal Lytisia Academy emblem prominently displayed is a facility exclusively for the student council.

It’s called the student council building, and the student council officers carry out their various tasks here day by day.

…And having been successfully elected, we too have the right to enter here, and are about to dive into that daily routine.

“Somehow, I’m getting nervous.”

“So even Arcs-kun gets nervous. You were so composed during both your valedictorian speech and the recent election speech.”

“What do you take me for? Even I get… well, nervous like anyone else.”

I protest mildly to the giggling Eleanore, but I couldn’t completely deny it.

It’s true that I don’t get nervous very often.

Perhaps it’s due to my past life experiences… I don’t really know, but I haven’t felt the kind of nervousness that makes me tremble violently in quite a while.

Yet now I’m nervous? Just from meeting the student council members?

One might say that, but this nervousness had a slightly different nuance and reason from the ordinary kind.

Hmm, to put it in comparison, the excitement of meeting a celebrity?

Since I’m about to face the student council officers who are everyone’s object of admiration, it makes sense that my heart would race a little, and in my case, I have an even more specific reason for being excited to meet them.

After all, the student council has that “last boss.”

“Shall we go in then?”

“Yes.”

With me leading and Eleanore following behind, we entered the stronghold of this academy’s top.

Even though it’s a two-story building, since only one organization uses it, the size itself is relatively modest… but it seems to have more than enough scale.

In the middle of the corridor stretching ahead, I can see the doors to several rooms.

With this many rooms, I wonder how often they actually get used.

“We were told to first visit the student council advisor teacher, but…”

“We don’t know where they are. They should be somewhere in this building though.”

We need to greet the advisor teacher, but where are they?

It would be tedious to peek into every single room…

“For now, shall we try going to the conference room, which is the main activity area?”

Well, if they’re not there, we can just meet them later.

We look at the facility map we were given beforehand and head to the room called the conference room.

Conference room is a grandiose name, but essentially it’s the student council room you’d imagine.

With a whiteboard and chairs paired with desks and all that – probably that feeling made luxurious in an aristocratic style. The background in the game looked like that too.

“Once we open this door, everyone should be there… Arcs-kun, are you ready?”

“…Yes, no problem at all.”

Perhaps joking about my earlier nervousness, she said that mischievously.

Giving a deliberately monotone reply, I grasped the handle of a door that was distinctly different from the other room doors – a chic brown door.

“…Excuse us.”

After knocking as a signal of entry, I slowly open the door.

Upon entering the room, what immediately comes into view is a long table with equally long sofas arranged to flank it.

And there were figures of men and women seated there, and someone facing the bookshelf.

“Ah, are you the new students?”

Noticing our entry, the woman closest to us asked that.

She has long yellow hair, blue eyes, and is rather tall… that’s what she looks like.

“Yes, I am Arcs Leefort, selected as a first-year officer.”

“Likewise, I am Eleanore Anciness.”

Before I knew it, Eleanore was standing beside me, displaying that… business smile on her face, and gave a well-mannered bow befitting a noble.

I also knelt slightly and bowed my head in a knightly manner.

“Wow, look! This year’s new students are so polite!”

When we did so, she spoke in a somewhat moved tone.

As her casual speech indicated, it wasn’t directed at us.

It was probably words directed at the young man and girl sitting across from her, and at that young man skimming through documents.

“…Emily-senpai, you make it sound like we second-years were bad last year.”

“Well, Chrome and Sharon were like that, so I can’t say nothing.”

“Carlos, you were late and caused problems from day one too!”

They’re making a fuss.

…Even in this timeline, they haven’t changed.

Second-year student council officers Chrome, Carlos, and Sharon.

All of them appear in “Celestia Kingdom” as well, with the two boys being capture targets and Sharon being positioned as a rival character.

Chrome is the stubborn glasses type, Carlos is the wild-type hottie, Sharon is the strong-willed glasses girl… those would be their general attributes.

These three characters also play a part in why the student council route is popular.

“Hey, be quiet!! …I’m sorry, they’re such noisy children.”

Emily, the oldest among them, said that apologetically.

“Not at all, they’re quite lively.”

Eleanore showed consideration for Emily while maintaining her smile.

Being able to handle it with a poker face without being flustered is really her strong point… I think.

In the main story too, thanks to that strength, she fulfills her role as the last boss.

In the form of winning people’s hearts.

“Well, I suppose that’s a nice way to put it.”

While making a troubled face, Emily chuckled.

…Emily also has quite an unfortunate position.

She’s often pulled around by her three juniors, and has to rush around cleaning up after them each time…

And speaking in game terms, despite being “his” only classmate, she couldn’t even become a rival character and her presence became thin.

“By the way, is the president not here today?”

I ask about him, who isn’t in sight.

“Ah, he’s out right now. I think he’ll be back soon, but───”

Emily answers while touching her fingertip to her cheek… but at that moment.

*Click*, the door opened.

In that instant, the atmosphere changes.

Charisma, you could call it.

A person radiating an overwhelming presence appears in this place.

“Could you be the new officers?”

A gentle, calm male voice could be heard.

I slowly turn around.

“Siegvalt Astrolfon. I’m the student council president of this academy, and a colleague who will be working with you all. Please take care of me from now on.”

There stood the figure of the Royal Lytisia Academy student council president… who fans called the “last boss” due to his extreme capture difficulty.
