Chapter Index

Siegvalt Astrolfon.

The student council president of Royal Lytisia Academy, and the valedictorian of the third-year class.

The first prince of this nation, one of the most influential in the world, who demonstrates exceptional talent in all areas, causing many to look upon his future with great expectations.

As for his appearance, it’s good enough to make your eyes pop out.

With his neatly trimmed silver hair and eyes as clear as jade, he truly fits the image of a prince who would suit a white horse.

Even a man would be captivated.

Though he was designed as such a perfect superman, in “Celestia Kingdom” he’s positioned as the “last boss” of the capture targets.

The parameter values required are on a completely different level from other characters, and unless you play with considerable planning, conquering him remains a distant dream.

Even when trying to raise parameters, you often end up deepening relationships with other capture targets in the process.

You have to adjust affection levels – acts that feel like making them dislike you – to avoid accidentally reaching the goal with them, so he’s also called the “last boss” from such wickedness (though the character himself is innocent).

Now then, currently I’m meeting such a character who is also a great person in terms of status in this world.

Honestly speaking, I’m a bit… no, quite moved.

With the intense impression he made during conquest combined with his overwhelmingly handsome appearance, he’s a character who’s a regular in the top three in popularity polls.

Thinking that he’s conducting life activities and standing right before me now, my fading otaku heart is reviving.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Astrolfon-sama. I am Eleanore Anciness, a first-year student council officer.”

Leaving me immersed in emotion, Eleanore greeted him as usual.

Despite facing such a handsome man, her complexion hasn’t changed one bit.

If I were a maiden, I would have blushed bright red and fainted.

Actually, I think I could do that even now.

“P-pleased to meet you. Likewise, I am Arcs Leefort.”

Well, I obviously can’t let that happen, so I followed with my greeting.

“Yes, yes. Feel free to call me Sieg or Sieg-senpai casually. I look forward to working with you.”

Sieg showed a beautiful smile that could be mistaken for roses blooming in the air.

This kind of thing is unavoidably heart-piercing.

“Fufu, I would be too presumptuous to casually address someone of Astrolfon-sama’s stature.”

Or so I thought, but Eleanore replied with her consistently cheerful smile.

At this point, I have to admire her iron mask.

“Things will get lively now that new members are joining from today!”

“I wonder what will happen if things get any livelier…”

“Hey hey, they’re talking about you. Carlos.”

“Huh? The ones always causing problems are Sharon and Chrome!”

“Hey, don’t drag me into this!”

When Sieg said that with a smile, Emily from the same year muttered sarcastically, and the juniors made a fuss.

“Alright, alright! Be quiet! Geez, and we’re in front of the juniors…”

“Hahaha. Well, even if we put on airs, the mask will eventually come off anyway, so let’s just be ourselves.”

“President, don’t give up!”

Emily admonished them, and Sieg laughed with a “good grief” attitude.

I’m a bit moved by this template-like development I’ve seen in the game too.

Since I can’t see this kind of interaction in the Knight Department, I’m happy as a fan.

However, while Eleanore’s smile hadn’t crumbled, she seemed somewhat left behind.

Well… it’s close to insider behavior, so naturally.

“Um, which positions will we be assigned to?”

So, seeing the right timing, I brought up the topic.

The juniors (though they’re our seniors…) are making noise without concern, but Sieg seemed to realize.

“Ah, right. Let’s decide this year’s roles.”

He claps his hands.

Immediately, the three noisy ones shut their mouths and straightened their postures to sit on the facing sofas.

…Are they disciplined or not?

I don’t really know, but I vaguely understood that all of this is established by… Sieg’s [Charisma].

***

“Now, about this year’s positions… I’d like the three of you to continue from last year.”

“Understood.”

“Roger.”

“Got it.”

Sieg writes down the positions on something like a blackboard with something like chalk.

The stubborn glasses guy, Chrome, is the accountant.

The rowdy boy, Carlos, is public relations.

The active girl, Sharon, is secretary.

With Sieg as president and Emily as vice president… it’s a familiar lineup for fans.

“As for Arcs-kun and Eleanore-san… what positions would be good? I’d like to put you in places that match your strengths as much as possible.”

While handing over the writing on the blackboard to Sharon the secretary, Sieg asks.

Hmm, positions, huh.

I was only thinking about becoming a student council officer and didn’t really consider what came after, so I can’t really think of what I want to do.

Honestly, anything is fine.

“When you say Arcs, it’s that, right. The one who supposedly broke the test or something.”

“He caused a duel commotion on the first day, didn’t he?”

“Right, right, he became the talk of the town in no time.”

…Ah, so I’m recognized.

Well, I suppose it would be stranger if all that didn’t reach the student council’s ears.

“Eleanore-san has also become well-known as the top scorer in admissions, right?”

“I heard from my juniors that Eleanore-san is amazing!”

“The story is that she was so good the other candidates lost confidence.”

Eleanore apparently comes up in conversation too.

She’s also an elite as valedictorian.

It seems she’s also active in school life.

Two valedictorians as student council officers – that phrase alone packs quite a punch, so naturally there’s no shortage of topics.

I just hope the talk doesn’t take on a life of its own and lead to misunderstandings.

“Hey hey, that’s rude in front of them!”

“They seem to be worrying, so I’m trying to make suggestions. To decide roles, a person’s character is important, right?”

Emily says that, but Carlos nonchalantly retorts.

…That said, I don’t really have a clear sense of what position suits me.

I could probably do any of the positions, but I wonder if I’d fit as perfectly as they do.

Does Eleanore have something decided?

“…I,”

Just as I thought that, she opened her mouth timely.

And then

“I don’t mind any position as long as I’m with Arcs.”

“Eh?”

Because she said it so matter-of-factly, I stupidly let out a sound.

When I hurriedly looked at her profile, it was still the same smiling face.

Matter-of-factly, or rather, it’s probably natural.

…Come to think of it, she joined the student council to extend the time spent with me.

Thinking about it that way feels rational, but… even so, I think it’s different to leave everything to me!!

“…I see.”

Sieg nodded with a smile.

Emily had a surprised expression.

Chrome was saying things like “Hoh… so that’s how you’re playing it,” Carlos looked puzzled, and Sharon had turned bright red and was opening and closing her mouth.

“Receiving that… is there a position you’d like to do, Arcs-kun?”

“Um…”

Suddenly forced to choose for two people, I hesitate over my words.

With two people suddenly added to positions that had been handled by one or two people until now, it would become somewhat unbalanced…

After worrying my head, I finally opened my mouth.

“Then… if I could be entrusted with general affairs…”

I say that hesitantly.

It’s a position that’s essentially odd jobs, but it’s also a behind-the-scenes supporter role.

Given my personality, that kind of role would suit me better.

“…Yeah, sounds good. Then, let’s entrust general affairs to Arcs-kun and Eleanore-san.”

When Sieg smiled elegantly, Sharon, who had been bright red, seemed to come to her senses with a start and hurriedly wrote it on the blackboard.

“General Affairs: Arcs, Eleanore”

My name and hers are inscribed at the bottom of the student council roster.

Thus, student council general affairs officers Arcs and Eleanore were born.

“Let’s do our best together, Arcs!”

“…Yes.”

Drawing closer, she said that with a full smile while clenching her fist.

…Somehow lately, I feel like she’s been close enough to show off even in front of people…

I think she could hold back a bit more, but I couldn’t caution her with the seniors present, and could only laugh awkwardly with an “ahaha.”
